Brighton is going through some really difficult times right now, with the recent defeat against Nottingham being the highlight. Now the Seagulls want to finally make some positive headlines again and they're up against a top club from London. Six wins, four draws and two defeats against Chelsea and Liverpool. This decent start of the season finally came to an end before New Year. Brrighton manage to win only two from the twelve games and now the team slipped into middle of the table. At first things seemed to be slowly getting better again, the Seagulls won 2-0 against Ipswich and 3-1 against Manchester United but the 0-1 defeat against Everton was another setback and things were about to get even worse. A few days ago the team was beaten 0-7 to Nottingham which was the biggest humiliation in the season. These two teams met just a few days ago in the FA Cup and now Brighton and Chelsea are facing each other again. The Seagulls have at least been able to redeem themselves somewhat with their 2-1 victory. Chelsea is looking to the Champions League spots in the league and the game is quite important for the guests from the capital.
